Rail and Platform Bridges of Zurich Main Station

The platform hall of Zurich’s main station crosses the Schanzengraben and the Sihl. The five openings are spanned by 25 separate track and platform bridges. The oldest platform bridge dates back to 1857, while seven other track bridges were built in 1928. All bridges were checked in preparation for the refurbishment of the anti-corrosion coatings planned for 2027.
